FUNDRAISING
For the 2017-18 school year, the PTA's fundraising focus is on improving/providing STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) resources for MPE. In addition to the regular PTA-supported initiatives (see below details), we aim to raise enough money to purchase additional computers for student use (approximate cost of one Chrome laptop cart: $10,000), plus STEAM resources/programs with the remaining funds.
The PTA wants all of our fundraising initiatives to be fun, affordable, spirit-building events for all families (like our Spirit Night FUNdraisers & No-Cook Nights). Please see the FUNDRAISERS dropdown for all the current fundraisers.

Here are some of the ways PTA funds/donations help support MPE:

Help fund educational tools and software programs for our classrooms

Subsidizes field trips and some after-school clubs

Sponsors informational assemblies and speakers

Provides need-based scholarships for after-school activities

Gives teacher grants to purchase classroom resources and supplies

Staff appreciation and school engagement events

Supports “Green” efforts at MPE which include Terracycling, recycling, composting and gardening

Helps subsidize facility repairs and enhancements when possible
