MPE Gives Back: Pajama Drive until December 18

For MPE's Winter service project, the school & staff is teaming up with Scholastic for a Pajama Drive! Flyers went home last week. Details below:

Since 2001, The Pajama Drive non-profit organization has provided new pajamas to children in need, many of whom are waiting to be adopted or are in foster care. Some of these children have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a parent tuck them in at bedtime with a story in warm, clean pajamas.

This year MPE is joining the Scholastic Reading Club Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive! For every pair of pajamas that our school donates to the Pajama Drive, Scholastic will donate at least one book! We are thrilled to connect with Scholastic this year and help spread the love of reading.

As MPE prepares for its annual Pajama Day celebration on December 21, we are asking you to donate new pajamas for these children in need. These donations will be delivered directly to the Pajama Drive office in Delaware and will help many local children in need.

Our school wants to be part of this drive so that we can help make a better bedtime for these children.

Here are a few guidelines for the pajamas:

•Pajamas must be brand new, never used.

• Pajamas in all sizes are needed, from newborn to adult, male and female.

• Pajamas must be in complete sets or nightgowns.

• Pajamas in children's sizes must be manufactured as pajamas. This ensures that they are flame-retardant and safe to use as pajamas.
